Abstract
2025.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode non-eksperimental dengan rancangan
deskriptif dan pendekatan retrospektif. Data diperoleh dari rekam medis dan
lembar resep pasien hipertensi rawat jalan. Sampel ditentukan menggunakan
teknik total sampling sesuai kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, sehingga diperoleh 195
pasien.
perempuan (61,5%), berusia 60–74 tahun (36,9%), mengalami hipertensi derajat 2
lama pemberian, masing-masing sebesar 100%.
Hypertension is a non-communicable disease and one of the leading
causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. The rational use of antihypertensive
drugs is essential to achieve target blood pressure, prevent complications, and
improve patients’ quality of life. This study aimed to determine the characteristics
of hypertensive patients, prescribing patterns, and the rationality of
antihypertensive drug use among outpatients at Pucangsawit Primary Health
Center, Surakarta, in 2025.
This study employed a non-experimental descriptive design with a
retrospective approach. Data were collected from the medical records and
prescription sheets of hypertensive outpatients. Samples were selected using a
total sampling technique based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting
in 195 patients. Data were analyzed descriptively to describe patient
characteristics, antihypertensive prescribing patterns, and the rationality of drug
use based on the appropriateness of indication, patient, drug selection, dosage,
and the route and duration of administration.
The results showed that the majority of patients were female (61.5%), aged
60–74 years (36.9%), had Grade 2 hypertension (49.7%), and had no
complications (62.6%). The most frequently prescribed antihypertensive drug was
amlodipine 5 mg, a Calcium Channel Blocker (CCB), with monotherapy being the
predominant treatment regimen. The evaluation of rational drug use
demonstrated that all prescriptions met the criteria for appropriate indication,
appropriate patient, appropriate drug selection, appropriate dosage, and
appropriate route and duration of administration, with each criterion achieving
100%.
