Abstract
terbaik.
krim bionect (kontrol positif). Krim diuji mutu fisik dan stabilitas.
Efektivas sediaan krim diuji pada luka sayat pada kelinci. Efektivas
Sedangkan, formula 6 menunjukkan efek
penyembuhan luka sayat terbaik.
menunjukkan efek penyembuhan luka sayat terbaik.
Sapodilla leaves (Manilkara zapota L.) are known to heal
wounds with active compounds such as flavonoids, saponins, and
tannins. This study also aimed to determine the formula for sapodilla leaf
extract cream preparations with varying emulsifier concentrations that
demonstrated the best physical quality, stability, and wound healing
effect.
Sapodilla leaf extract was prepared using a 96% ethanol solvent
maceration method. Then, rabbit orientation tests were conducted at
concentrations of 5%, 7.5%, and 10% to determine its effectiveness as a
wound healer. The effective concentration was 10%. The extract was
formulated in a cream preparation with various emulsifier combinations,
as well as a cream base without extract (negative control) and Bionect
cream (positive control). The cream was tested for physical quality and
stability. The effectiveness of the cream formulation was tested on
incision wounds in rabbits until complete healing by measuring the
reduction in wound length and recording the healing time. The data
obtained were analyzed using Shapiro-Wilk, One-Way ANOVA, Post-Hoc
Tukey, and Paired-Test.
The results of this study indicated that Formula 5 exhibited good
physical characteristics and stability, while Formula 6 demonstrated the
most effective cut wound healing activity. Overall, Formula 5 cream
formulation containing Manila sapodilla (Manilkara zapota) leaf extract
with various combinations of emulsifier concentrations provided optimal
physical quality and stability and also showed the best cut wound healing
effect.
