Abstract
Production scheduling is one of the most important aspects in an
industry, especially on the production floor. This study aims to optimize
production scheduling using the Cross Entropy Genetic Algorithm
method to minimize. PT. Sinar Semesta is a company operating in the
metal casting sector. The products produced by PT. Sinar Semesta are
components of railway infrastructure, sugar mill components, mining
and heavy equipment, shipyards and ports, and the oil and gas industry.
PT. Sinar Semesta implements a make-to-order production strategy,
namely a production process carried out when there is an order from a
consumer. Demand for products from consumers is relatively high, but
the company is unable to fulfill orders on time. This is because
production scheduling has not been carried out properly. After
processing the data using the Cross Entropy Genetic Algorithm, it
produces a more efficient makespan, while the existing schedule is not
optimal. Based on the results of data processing, the Cross Entropy
Genetic Algorithm can minimize the makespan at PT Sinar Semesta.
Penjadwalan produksi merupakan salah satu aspek yang sangat penting
dalam suatu industri khususnya di lantai produksi. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan penjadwalan produksi menggunakan
metode Cross Entropy Genetic Algorithm untuk meminimasi makespan.
PT. Sinar Semesta merupakan perusahaan yang beroperasi di bidang
pengecoran logam. Produk yag dihasilkan oleh PT. Sinar Semesta adalah
komponen sarana dan prasarana kereta api, komponen pabrik gula,
pertambangan dan alat berat, galangan kapal dan pelabuhan serta
industry minyak dan gas. PT. Sinar Semesta menerapkan strategi
produksi make to order yaitu proses produksi yang dilakukan ketika
terdapat pemesanan dari konsumen. Permintaan produk dari konsumen
relatif banyak namun perusahaan tidak mampu memenuhi pesanan tepat
waktu. Hal ini disebabkan karena penjadwalan produksi belum
dilakukan dengan baik. Setelah dilakukan pengolahan data
menggunakan Cross Entropy Genetic Algorithm menghasilkan
makespan yang lebih efisien sedangkan dari jadwal existing belum
optimal. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data Cross Entropy Genetic
Algorithm dapat meminimalisasi makespan pada PT Sinar Semesta.
