Abstract

Kosmetik merupakan bahan pemoles kecantikan yang bersifat wajib dimiliki wanita salah satunya lipstik. Salah satunya timbal dalam kosmetika merupakan cemaran (zat pengotor) pada bahan dasar pembuatan kosmetik. Bahan dasar pembuatan kosmetik seperti beewax secara alami mengandung Pb <10 ppm. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat kandungan logam berat timbal pada lipstik dan untuk mengetahui berapa kadar kandungan cemaran timbal yang terdapat pada 4 sampel lipstik dan untuk mengetahui apakah kadar logam berat timbal dalam 4 sampel tersebut melebihi batas aman yang ditetapkan BPOM RI. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengujian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode Spektofotometri Serapan Atom (SSA) untuk mengetahui kandungan kadar cemaran timbal yang telah banyak dilakukan untuk penentuan kandungan logam berat. Hasil dari penelitian terdapat kandungan cemaran logam berat timbal pada lipstik menggunakan spektrofotometri serapan atom. Kadar cemaran logam berat timbal diperoleh hasil sampel A yaitu 14,1266 mg/kg, sampel B yaitu 4,8518 mg/kg, sampel C yaitu 9,7443 mg/kg dan sampel D yaitu 6,6239 mg/kg. Kadar cemaran logam berat timbal 4 sampel memenuhi syarat dan tidak melebihi batas aman yang di tetapkan BPOM RI Tahun 2011 yaitu persyaratan batasan aman cemaran atau kontaminasi logam berat timbal (Pb) dalam lipstik tidak melebihi nilai ambang batas 20 mg/kg. Cosmetics are beauty polishing materials that women must have, one of which is lipstick. One of them is that lead in cosmetics is a contaminant (impurity) in the basic ingredients for making cosmetics. The basic ingredients for making cosmetics such as beewax naturally contain Pb <10 ppm. The aim of this research is to find out whether there is heavy metal lead content in lipstick and to find out what level of lead contamination content is in the 4 lipstick samples and to find out whether the heavy metal lead content in these 4 samples exceeds the safe limit set by BPOM RI. The method used is quantitative testing using the Atomic Absorption Spectophotometry (SSA) method to determine the content of lead contamination levels, which has been widely used to determine heavy metal content. The results of the research found heavy metal lead contamination in lipstick using atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The level of lead heavy metal contamination obtained by sample A was 14,1266 mg/kg, sample B was 4,8518 mg/kg, sample C was 9,7443 mg/kg and sample D was 6,6239 mg/kg. The levels of lead heavy metal contamination in 4 samples met the requirements and did not exceed the safe limits set by the Indonesian Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM RI) in 2011, namely the safe limit requirement for lead (Pb) heavy metal contamination in lipstick does not exceed the threshold value of 20 mg/kg.
