Abstract
Permasalahan rambut yang sering terjadi adalah kerontokan
rambut. Ekstrak daun kelor memiliki aktifitas dalam pertumbuhan
rambut yang paling cepat pada konsentrasi 6%. Daun kelor
mengandung senyawa flavonoid, saponin, kuinon, dan tanin. Ekstrak
daun kelor pada penelitian ini perlu dilakukan pengembangan formulasi
menjadi sediaan creambath untuk mempermudah pemakaian dengan
memvariasi konsentrasi setil alkohol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui pengaruh variasi konsentrasi setil alkohol sediaan
creambath ekstrak etanol daun kelor terhadap mutu fisik, stabilitas,
pertumbuhan rambut kelinci, serta untuk mengetahui formula yang
terbaik.
Ekstrak daun kelor yang diperoleh dengan metode maserasi
menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%. Ekstrak etanol daun kelor 6% dibuat
sediaan creambath dalam 3 formula dengan variasi konsentrasi setil
alkohol 3%, 4%, dan 5%. Sediaan creambath diuji mutu fisik,
stabilitas, dan uji aktivitas pertumbuhan rambut kelinci selama 15 hari
dengan parameter rata-rata panjang rambut dan bobot rambut. Data
panjang rambut dan bobot rambut di analisis statistik dengan metode
one-way ANOVA.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi konsentrasi setil
alkohol pada
sediaan creambath ekstrak etanol daun kelor mempengaruhi viskositas,
daya sebar, pH, stabilitas, dan aktivitas pertumbuhan rambut. Formula I
sediaan creambath ekstrak etanol daun kelor dengan konsentrasi setil
alkohol 3% menunjukkan hasil yang paling baik dilihat berdasarkan
one-way ANOVA.
A common hair problem is hair loss. Moringa leaf extract has
the fastest hair growth activity at a concentration of 6%. Moringa
leaves contain flavonoids, saponins, quinones and tannins. Moringa leaf
extract in this study needs to be formulated into a cream bath
preparation to facilitate use by varying the concentration of cetyl
alcohol. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in cetyl
alcohol concentration of Moringa leaf ethanol extract creambath
preparations on the physical quality, stability and hair growth of
rabbits, and determine the best formula.
Moringa leaf extract was obtained by the maceration method
using 96% ethanol solvent. Moringa leaf ethanol extract 6% was used
as a creambath preparation in 3 formulas with varying cetyl alcohol
concentrations of 3%, 4% and 5%. The cream bath preparations were
tested for physical quality, stability and rabbit hair growth activity for
15 days with the average parameters of hair length and hair weight.
Hair length and hair weight data were analyzed statistically using the
one-way ANOVA method.
The results showed that there were variations in the
concentration of cetyl alcohol in Moringa leaf ethanol extract cream
bath preparations affect viscosity, spreadability, pH, stability and hair
growth activity. Creambath preparation formula I Moringa leaf ethanol
extract with a cetyl alcohol concentration of 3% showed the best results
based on one-way ANOVA.
