Abstract
Daun kangkung air memiliki kandungan flavonoid, polifenol,
dan kuinon sudah terbukti memiliki aktivitas menumbuhkan rambut
paling baik pada konsentrasi 5%. Perlu dilakukan pengembangan
formulasi dalam bentuk sediaan creambath untuk meningkatkan
efisiensi pemakaiannya. Kombinasi emulgator dapat meningkatkan
mutu fisik dan stabilitas sediaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui pengaruh dari variasi konsentrasi emulgator terhadap mutu
fisik sediaan, stabilitas, dan efektivitasnya pada pertumbuhan rambut
kelinci.
Daun kangkung air diekstraksi menggunakan etanol 96%
kemudian dibuat menjadi sediaan creambath dengan konsentrasi setil
alkohol 4%, 4,5%, 5% dan steareth-20 1,4%, 0,9%, 0,4%. Sediaan diuji
mutu fisik dan stabilitas sediaan dengan metode freeze and thaw.
Sediaan creambath kemudian diujikan ke punggung kelinci untuk
diamati pertumbuhuan rambutnya dengan parameter panjang rambut
pada hari ke 5, 10, dan 15 serta bobot rambut pada hari ke 15. Data
setiap pengujian yang didapatkan dilakukan analisis menggunakan
program SPSS dengan metode Shapiro-wilk, kemudian menggunakan
One Way Anova dan Post Hoc Tukey.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi konsentrasi
emulgator berpengaruh terhadap mutu fisik, stabilitas, dan
efektivitasnya dalam menumbuhkan rambut. Formula 1 dengan
konsentrasi setil alkohol 4% dan steareth-20 1,4% merupakan formula
yang memiliki mutu fisik, stabilitas, dan aktivitas menumbuhkan
rambut yang paling baik dilihat berdasarkan uji statistik.
Water spinach leaves contain flavonoids, polyphenols, and
quinones that have been proven to have the best hair growth activity at

The combination of emulsifiers can improve the physical quality and
stability of the preparation. This study aims to determine the effect of
variations in emulsifier concentration on the physical quality of the
preparation, its stability, and its effectiveness on rabbit hair growth.
Water spinach leaves were extracted using 96% ethanol then
made into a creambath preparation with a concentration of cetyl alcohol
of 4%, 4.5%, 5% and steareth-20 1.4%, 0.9%, 0.4%. The preparation
was tested for physical quality and stability using the freeze and thaw
method. The creambath preparation was then tested on the rabbit's back
to observe its hair growth with parameters of hair length on days 5, 10,
and 15 and hair weight on day 15. Data from each test obtained were
analyzed using the SPSS program with the Shapiro-Wilk method, then
using One Way Anova and Post Hoc Tukey.
The results showed that variations in emulgator concentration
affected the physical quality, stability, and effectiveness in growing
hair. Formula 1 with a concentration of 4% cetyl alcohol and 1,4%
steareth-20 is the formula that has the best physical quality, stability,
and hair growth activity based on statistical tests.
