Abstract

Diabetes melitus masih menjadi polemik masalah kesehatan yang diakibatkan karena sensitivitas insulin dan resistensi insulin. Induksi aloksan mengawali terjadinya hiperglikemik dengan merusak sel pankreas. Metabolit sekunder seperti senyawa polifenol dapat memberikan perbaikan dan bersifat antioksidan yang terkandung dalam tanaman salah satunya adalah Sapondias Dulcis dengan dosis efektif 500 mg/kgBB. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antidiabetes ekstrak etanol daun kedondong bangkok (Sapondias Dulcis) pada tikus putih jantan yang diinduksi aloksan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode uji induksi aloksan. Cara maserasi dengan etanol 70% digunakan dalam metode ekstraksi. Sebanyak 30 tikus dibagi 6 kelompok yaitu kontrol negatif, kontrol positif glibenklamid 0,09mg/kgBB, kontrol negatif CMC 1%, ekstrak daun kedondong bangkok dosis I 125 mg/kgBB, dosis II 250 mg/kgBB, dan dosis III 500 mg/kgBB. Pengukuran rata-rata kadar glukosa darah dianalisis dari glukosa awal (T0), induksi aloksan (T1), dan setelah diberi sampel uji per oral (T2) data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa ekstrak etanol dapat memberikan potensi aktivitas anti diabetes terhadap tikus induksi aloksan. Dosis efektif ekstrak etanol daun kedondong bangkok pada dosis 500 mg/kgBB serta mampu menurunkan jumlah degenerasi dan nekrosis pada perbaikan histopatologi tikus. Diabetes mellitus is still a polemic of health problems caused by insulin sensitivity and insulin resistance. Aloxane induction initiates hyperglycemic by damaging pancreatic cells. Secondary metabolites such as polyphenolic compounds can provide improvements and are antioxidants contained in plants, one of which is Sapondias Dulcis. This study aimed to determine the antidiabetic activity of ethanol extract of bangkok kedondong leaves (Sapondias Dulcis) in alloxan�induced male white rats. This study used the alloxane induction test method. Maceration method with 70% ethanol is used in the extraction method. A total of 30 rats were divided into 6 groups, namely negative control, positive control of glibenclamide 0.09mg/kgBB, negative control of CMC 1%, kedondong leaf extract bangkok dose I 125 mg/kgBB, dose II 250 mg/kgBB, and dose III 500 mg/kgBB. Average measurements of blood glucose levels were analyzed from initial glucose (T0), alloxane induction (T1), and after oral test samples (T2) the data were analyzed using SPSS. The results proved that ethanol extract can provide potential anti�diabetic activity against alloxan-induced rats. The effective dose of ethanol extract of bangkok kedondong leaves is at a dose of 500 mg / kg BB.
