Abstract
Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), especially Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, are a major problem in public health because the high prevalence of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus continues to increase, encouraging the need for more effective prevention and management measures through the Prolanis program. The purpose of this study was to find out and analyze in depth what needs are needed by Prolanis patients related to pharmaceutical services and to find out what obstacles occur.
The research method is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation and interviews. The population in this study were all those involved in the Prolanis program. The research sample consisted of program implementing doctors at health centers, prolanis managers, pharmacy personnel, and prolanis participants with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Data analysis techniques were carried out through data collection, data presentation, data reduction and drawing conclusions.
The results showed that the Prolanis program at Sibela Health Center in Clinical Pharmacy services had a good and positive impact on patients who had Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. So that the blood sugar of Prolanis patients is increasingly controlled, and they are more diligent in coming to the Puskesmas to check their health and participate in Prolanis activities. However, there are still obstacles such as the availability of Human Resources, especially the number of doctors, which is not sufficient so that doctors collaborate with pharmacists and nurses to provide good service and success in treating Prolanis patients in the Prolanis Program.
