Abstract
Populasi penelitianini
adalah 34 pengguna KB suntik 3 bulan. Waktu pelaksanaan penelitian
dilakukan pada bulan Februari – Maret 2024. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa
Banjarharjo, Kecamatan Banjarharjo, Kabupaten Brebes.
normal.
3-month injectable birth control is a contraceptive that uses a single
hormone Medroxylprogesterone Acetate (MPA) given once every 3 months.
Depo Medroxylprogesteron Acetate is one of the hormonal contraceptives that
can provide changes in body weight due to the hormone progesterone.
Progesterone hormone has an impact on fat metabolism that can cause
disturbances in the balance of blood fat fractions (ups and downs of HDL, LDL
and total cholesterol levels) due to hormonal influences contained in
contraceptives. This study aims to determine the description of total cholesterol levels in 3-month injectable birth control users.
The type of research conducted is descriptive research and sampling
with total sampling technique. The study population was 34 users of 3-month
injectable birth control. The research was conducted in February - March 2024.
This research was conducted in Banjarharjo Village, Banjarharjo District,
Brebes Regency. The examination of total cholesterol levels was checked using
the CHOD-PAP (Enzymatic Photometric Test) method.
The results showed that the examination of total cholesterol levels in
3-month injectable birth control users of 34 respondents with an average range
of results of 85.67 mg/dL, minimum results of 70 mg/dL and maximum results
of 112 mg/dL. The conclusion of this study is that the picture of total
cholesterol levels in 3-month injectable birth control users all respondents have normal cholesterol levels.
