Abstract

Kunyit putih mengandung flavonoid yang dipercaya mampu mengurangi dampak dari radikal bebas tertentu. Ekstrak kunyit putih diformulasikan menjadi sediaan krim agar dalam penggunaanyabisa lebih nyaman, efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi antioksidan ekstrak kunyit putih, pengaruh variasi kombinasi emulgator tween 80 dan span 80 terhadap mutu fisik dan stabilitas sediaan krim ekstrak kunyit. Krim diformulasi dengan variasi kombinasi emulgator F1 Tween 80;Span 80 (4,4%;5,6%), F2 Tween 80; Span 80 (5,8% ;4,2%), F3 Tween 80;Span 80 (7,2%; 2,8%). Pengujian mutu fisik sediaan mencakup uji organoleptis, homogenitas, pH, viskositas, daya sebar, daya lekat, tipe krim dan cycling test. Data absorbansi digunakan untuk mengukur IC50. Hasil data dianalisis menggunakan One-way ANOVA dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan konsentrasi emulgator berpengaruh terhadap meningkatnya viskositas, meningkaynya daya lekat dan menurunnya daya sebar dan pH menurun. Hasil uji aktivitas antioksidan menunjukkan IC50 formula 1, formula 2 dan formula 3 berturut-turut adalah 68,01 ppm, 64,47 ppm, 61,32 ppm. Formula 3 merupakan formula sediaan krim antioksidan ekstrak kunyit putih yang mempunyai aktivitas paling baik terhadap antioksidan secara DPPH. White turmeric contains flavonoids believed to reduce certain free radicals' impact. Therefore, white turmeric extract is formulated into cream preparations to make its use more comfortable, effective, and efficient. This study aims to determine the antioxidant potential of white turmeric extract and the effect of variations in the combination of emulsifier tween 80 and span 80 on the physical quality and stability of turmeric extract cream preparations. The cream is formulated with various combinations of emulsifier F1 Tween 80; Span 80 (4.4%;5.6%), F2 Tween 80; Span 80 (5.8% ;4.2%), F3 Tween 80; Span 80 (7.2%; 2.8%). The physical quality test of the preparation includes organoleptic test, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, spreadability, adhesion, cream type, and cycling test. Absorbance data is used to measure IC50. The data results were analyzed using One-way ANOVA with a 95% confidence level. The results showed that increasing the emulsifier concentration affected increasing viscosity, increasing adhesion, also decreasing dispersion and pH. The results of the antioxidant activity test showed that the IC50 of formula 1, formula 2 and formula 3 were 68,01 ppm, 64,47 ppm, and 61,32 ppm, respectively. Formula 3 is an antioxidant cream formulation from white turmeric extract with the best activity against antioxidants by DPPH.
