Abstract
Spirulina merupakan ganggang biru-hijau yang hidup di air laut dan air
tawar. Jerawat adalah penyakit kulit umum yang sering dijumpai, salah satu
bakteri penyebab jerawat ialah Staphylococcus epidermidis. Sediaan kosmetik
yang digunakan pada penelitian ini ialah sediaan krim, sediaan krim lebih
disukai karena lebih mudah menyebar dengan rata serta lebih mudah
dibersihkan dan dicuci. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui
pengaruh variasi konsentrasi asam stearat dan trietanolamin terhadap mutu
fisik dan stabilitas sediaan krim spirulina. Mengetahui formula yang
menghasilkan sediaan krim dengan mutu fisik paling baik serta memiliki
aktivitas antibakteri. Mengetahui aktivitas sediaan krim spirulina terhadap
bakteri Staphylococcus epidermidis.
Formulasi krim yang digunakan pada penelitian ini dengan
perbandingan asam stearat : trietanolamin diantaranya K+ (disk cakram
antibiotik gentamisin), K- FI (12%:2,5%), FI (12%:2,5%), K-FII (10%:2,5%),
FII (10%:2,5%), K-FIII (12%:2%), F III (12%:2%), K-IV (10%:2%), dan F IV
(10%:2%). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode difusi untuk uji antibakteri
sediaan krim spirulina. Hasil yang sudah didapatkan diuji dengan uji One Way
Anova (Analysis of Varian).
Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sediaan krim antibakteri serbuk Spirulina
dengan variasi asam stearat dan trietanolamin memenuhi parameter uji mutu
fisik krim. Sediaan krim serbuk Spirulina memiliki aktivitas antibakteri.
Formula III adalah formula terbaik karena memiliki mutu fisik dan uji stabilitas
yang baik, meliputi uji organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji viskositas, uji daya
lekat, uji daya sebar, uji pH dan uji tipe krim, serta mempunyai aktivitas
antibakteri sebesar 36,37 mm.
Spirulina is blue-green algae that lives in sea water and fresh water.
Acne is a common skin disease that is often encountered, one of the bacteria
that causes acne is Staphylococcus epidermidis. The cosmetic preparation used
in this research is a cream preparation, cream preparations are preferred because
they are easier to spread evenly and are easier to clean and wash. The aim of
this research was to determine the effect of varying concentrations of stearic
acid and triethanolamine on the physical quality and stability of Spirulina cream
preparations. Know the formula that produces cream preparations with the best
physical quality and antibacterial activity. To determine the activity of
Spirulina cream preparations against Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria.
The cream formulation used in this study with a ratio of stearic acid:
triethanolamine including K+ (disk cakram antibiotic gentamicin), K-FI
(12%:2,5%), FI (12%:2,5%), K-FII (10%:2,5%), FII (10%:2,5%), K-FIII
(12%:2%), F III (12%:2%), K-IV (10%:2%), and F IV (10%:2%). This study
used the diffusion method for antibacterial tests of Spirulina cream
preparations. The results that have been obtained are tested with the One Way
Anova (Analysis of Variant) test.
The results showed that the antibacterial cream preparation of Spirulina
powder with variations of stearic acid and triethanolamine met the physical
quality test parameters of the cream. Cream preparations of Spirulina powder
have antibacterial activity. Formula III is the best formula because it has good
physical quality and stability tests, including organoleptis tests, homogeneity
tests, viscosity tests, adhesion tests, dispersion tests, pH tests and cream type
tests, and has antibacterial activity of 36.37 mm.
