Abstract
Daun sawi hijau mengandung flavonoid diduga memiliki efek pelembab pada kulit. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui gel ekstrak etanol daun sawi hijau dapat diformulasikan sediaan gel, mengetahui konsentrasi carbopol yang baik untuk uji mutu fisik gel ekstrak etanol daun sawi hijau, dan mengetahui kemampuan gel ekstrak etanol daun sawi hijau sebagai pelembab kulit. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga formulasi dengan variasi konsentrasi carbopol 1 gram, 2 gram dan 3 gram. Uji mutu fisik yang digunakan adalah uji organoleptik, uji pH, uji homogenitas, uji viskositas, uji daya sebar dan uji stabilitas. Uji iritasi dilakukan pada punggung kelinci. Uji kelembaban dilakukan pada relawan berjumlah 16 orang menggunakan alat Skin Analyzer.
Uji mutu fisik hasil organoleptis bahwa K tidak memiliki warna, tidak berbau dan memiliki konsistensi kental dan hsasil pada F1 dan F2 gel berwana kuning kehijauan, memiliki bau khas ekstrak dan memiki konsistensi yang kental. Uji mutu fisik homogenitas pada formula menunjukkan setiap formula homogen. Uji mutu fisik pH menunjukkan K--, F1 dan F2 berada dalam rentang kulit 4,5 6,5. Uji mutu fisik viskositas yang dihasilkan masuk ke dalam rentang sediaan gel sebesar 3.000 50.000 cPs. Uji mutu fisik daya sebar memiliki rata
rata bahwa pada penambahan ekstrak etanol daun sawi hijau memiliki daya sebar yang tinggi. Hasil uji iritasi mendapatkan penilaian 0 yang berarti tidak ditemukan efek eritema (kemerahan) dan edema (pembengkakan) pada kulit kelinci setelah perlakuan. Hasil uji kelembaban menunjukkan bahwa F1 dan F2 memiliki efek kelembaban yang paling tinggi dibandingkan dengan K--.
Green mustard leaves contain flavonoids which are thought to have a moisturizing effect on the skin. The aims of the research were to find out whether green mustard leaf ethanol extract gel could be formulated as a gel preparation, to find out the good concentration of carbopol for testing the physical quality of green mustard leaf ethanol extract gel, and to know the ability of green mustard leaf ethanol extract gel as a skin moisturizer.
This research used three formulations with varying carbopol concentrations of 1 gram, 2 grams and 3 grams. The physical quality tests used are organoleptic tests, pH tests, homogeneity tests, viscosity tests, spreadability tests and stability tests. The irritation test was carried out on the rabbit's back. Moisture tests were carried out on 16 volunteers using a Skin Analyzer.
The organoleptic results of the physical quality test showed that K-- was colorless, odorless and had a thick consistency and the results in F1 and F2 gels were greenish yellow in color, had a typical extract odor and had a thick consistency. The homogeneity physical quality test on the formula shows that each formula is homogeneous. The pH physical quality test shows that K--, F1 and F2 are in the skin range of 4.5--6.5. The physical quality test for the resulting viscosity falls into the gel preparation range of 3,000 -- 50,000 cPs. The physical quality test for spreadability showed that on average the addition of ethanol extract of green mustard leaves had high spreadability. The irritation test results received a rating of 0, which means that there were no erythema (redness) and edema (swelling) effects on the rabbit's skin after treatment. The humidity test results show that F1 and F2 have the highest humidity effect compared to K--.
