Abstract
World Health Organisation (WHO) menetapkan COVID-19 sebagai status pandemi.
Laboratorium Patologi Klinik RSUP Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared COVID-19
a pandemic status. COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a virus
and can be transmitted between humans due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Hematology data such as leukocytes (lymphocytes, eosinophils,
neutrophils) can describe the infectious process or to indicate suspicion
of its severity. This study aims to determine the description of the
leukocyte count of COVID - 19 patients at Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro
Klaten Hospital.
The method used is observational analytic research with a cross
sectional approach to determine the description of the leukocyte count
of COVID - 19 patients at Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten General
Hospital in December 2020. The research was conducted in the medical
record data room with a diagnosis of COVID-19 data on the results of
the leukocyte type count examination at the Clinical Pathology
Laboratory Sub-Installation of Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten General
Hospital. Descriptive analysis in the form of percentage.
The results of the research conducted at Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro
General Hospital showed that the pattern of leukocyte count was
obtained; basophils 100% normal, neutrophils 40% low and high,
eosinophils 70% normal, lymphocytes 46.67% low and normal and
monocytes 66.67% normal. The conclusion of this study is that the
pattern of leukocyte counts of COVID-19 patients in basophils is normal,
neutrophils are low or high, eosinophils are normal, lymphocytes are low
or normal and monocytes are normal.
