Abstract

Upaya pertahanan diri dengan memperkuat sistem kekebalan tubuh dengan memanfaatkan tanaman obat yang ada di lingkungan kita seperti daun sungkai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek imunostimulan ekstrak etanol daun sungkai Peronema canescens yang mengandung senyawa flavonoid, alkaloid, terpenoid, saponin dan tanin terhadap mencit jantan galur swiss webster. Penelitian ini menggunakan 25 ekor mencit jantan yang terbagi 5 kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol tanpa obat, kelompok kontrol positif dan sebagai kelompok perlakuan diberikan tiga dosis, yaitu dosis 50, 75 dan 100 mgKgbb. Perlakuan selama 7 hari dan pada hari ke-8 hewan diinjeksikan suspensi karbon secara intravena melalui ekor mencit. Selanjutnya mengukur absorbansi dengan spektrofotometer UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang 636 nm dan mengitung total leukosit serta persentase jenis sel leukosit. Berdasarkan uji Tukey terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap indeks fagositosis karbon dalam darah, total sel leukosit dan persentase jenis sel leukosit dengan kelompok kontrol. Hal ini juga menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun sungkai berpengaruh pada meningkatnya aktivitas imunostimulan dengan dosis efektif 50 mg/kgbb. Self-defense efforts by strengthening the immune system by utilizing medicinal plants in our environment such as sungkai leaves. This study aims to determine the immunostimulatory effect of the ethanol extract of Sungkai Peronema canescens leaves containing flavonoids, alkaloids, terpenoids, saponins and tannins on Swiss Webster male mice. This study used 25 male mice which were divided into 5 groups, namely the control negative group, the control positive group and as the treatment group were given three doses, namely doses of 50, 75 and 100 mgKg body weight. The treatment lasted 7 days and on the 8th day the animals were injected with carbon suspension intravenously through the mice's tails. Then measure the absorbance with a UV-Vis spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 636 nm and calculate the total leukocytes and the percentage of leukocyte cell types. Based on the Tukey test, there was a significant difference in the phagocytosis index of carbon in the blood, total leukocytes and the percentage of leukocyte cell types with the control group. This also shows that variations in the doses of ethanol extract of Sungkai leaves have an effect on increasing immunostimulatory activity with an effective dose of 100 mg/kg body weight.
