Abstract
Tembakau memiliki beberapa senyawa seperti alkaloid, flavonoid, tannin, saponin dan terpenoid yang mana beberapa senyawa aktif tersebut memiliki aktivitas dalam mencegah pertumbuhan jamur terutama Candida albicans. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui fraksi n-heksana, etil asetat dan air dalam ekstrak yang memiliki aktivitas anti jamur dan dari ketiga fraksi yang diujikan memiliki aktivitas anti jamur teraktif terhadap jamur Candida albicans.
Penelitian ini menggunakan ekstrak etanol daun tembaku yang di peroleh dengan metode maserasi, fraksi n-heksana etil asetat dan air yang berasal dari ekstrak etanol daun tembakau dengan metode fraksinasi cair-cair, Fraksi n beksana, etil asetat dan air yang didapatkan dilakukan pengujian aktivitas anti jamar Candida albicans, pengujian anti jamur menggunakan metode difusi kertas cakram. Ekstrak dan fraksi menggunakan konsentrasi 25%, 50%, dan 75% tween 80 sebagai kontrol negatif, dan nystatin sebagai kontrol positif Pada pengujian aktivitas antijarour dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode difusi cakram. Diameter zona hambat yang telah diperoleh dilakukan analisia statistik menggunakan SPSS
Ekstrak etanol daun tembakau dengan konsetrasi 75% dengan daya hambat 3,7mm memiliki aktivitas anti-jamur terhadap Candida albicans, Fraksi s hoksana, etil asitat dan air dalam ekstrak daun tembakau memiliki aktivitas anti-jamur terhadap Candida albicans. Ketiga fraksi yang telah diuji fraku nheksana paling aktif dalam penghambatan jamur Candida albicans dengan daya hambat 3.5mm
Tobacco has several compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins and terpenoids where some of these active compounds have activity in preventing fungal growth, especially Candida albicans. This study uses ethanol extract of tobacco leaves obtained by maceration method, n-hezane ethyl acetate and water fractions derived from ethanol extract of tobacco leaves by liquid-liquid fractionation method, n-hexane, ethyl acetate and water fractions obtained were tested for anti-fungal activity of Candida albicans, anti-fungal testing using disc paper diffusion method. The extracts and fractions used concentrations of 25%, 50%, and 75%, tween 80 as a negative control, and nystatin as a positive control In antifungal activity testing is carried out using the disc diffusion method. The diameter of the inhibition zone that has been obtained is statistically analyzed using SPSS
Ethanol extract of tobacco leaf with 75% concentration with 3.7mm. inhibition has anti-fungal activity against Candida albicans. N-hexane, ethyl acetate and water fractions in tobacco leaf extract have anti-fungal activity against Candida albicans. The three fractions that have been tested the n-hexane fraction is most active in inhibiting Candida albicans fungi with 3.5mm inhibition.
