Abstract
Buah belimbing wuluh memiliki kandungan senyawa pada yaitu
flavonoid, tanin, saponin, steroid/triterpenoid dan alkaloid yang
berfungsi sebagai antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji
aktivitas antibakteri fraksi n-heksan, etil asetat dan air dari ekstrak
etanol buah belimbing wuluh terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri
Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923; mengetahui fraksi teraktif dan
Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum (KHM) serta Konsentrasi Bunuh
Minimum (KBM) dari buah belimbing wuluh terhadap pertumbuhan
bakteri Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923.
Buah belimbing wuluh diekstraksi menggunakan metode
maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96%. Fraksinasi dari ekstrak buah
belimbing wuluh dengan pelarut n-heksan, etil asetat dan air. Uji
aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak dan fraksi dari ekstrak etanol buah
belimbing wuluh terhadap Staphylococcus aureus dilakukan dengan
metode difusi pada konsentrasi 20%, 10%, dan 5%, sedangkan
penentuan Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum (KHM) dan Konsentrasi
Bunuh Minimum (KBM) dari fraksi teraktif dengan metode dilusi pada
konsentrasi 50%; 25%; 12,5%; 6,25%; 3,12%; 1,56%; 0,78%; 0,39%.
Data diameter zona hambat yang diperoleh dari hasil uji difusi
dianalisis statistik menggunakan metode one way ANOVA.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak dan fraksi buah
belimbing
memiliki
aktivitas
antibakteri
terhadap
Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923. Fraksi etil asetat buah belimbing
wuluh dengan konsentrasi 20% memiliki aktivitas antibakteri teraktif
dengan rata-rata diameter zona hambat sebesar 26,32 mm. Konsentrasi
Bunuh Minimum (KBM) fraksi etil asetat terhadap bakteri
Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 sebesar 12,5%.
Starfruit contains compounds, namely flavonoids, tannins,
saponins, steroids/triterpenoid, and alkaloids that function as
antibacterials. This study aims to test the antibacterial activity of the n
hexane fraction, ethyl acetate and water from the ethanol extract of
star fruit wuluh against the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria
ATCC 25923; knowing the most active fraction and Minimum
Inhibition Concentration (KHM) and Minimum Kill Concentration
(KBM) of starfruit wuluh against the growth of Staphylococcus aureus
bacteria ATCC 25923.
Starfruit was extracted using the maseration method with 96%
ethanol as solvent. Fractionation of star fruit extract with n-hexane,
ethyl acetate and water as solvents. Antibacterial activity test of
extracts and fractions of ethanol extract of starfruit fruit against
Staphylococcus aureus was carried out by diffusion method at
concentrations of 20%, 10%, and 5%, while the determination of
Minimum Inhibition Concentration (KHM) and Minimum Kill
Concentration (KBM) of the most active fraction was carried out by
dilution method at concentrations of 50%; 25%; 12.5%; 6.25%;
3.12%; 1.56%; 0.78%; 0.39%. Data on the diameter of the inhibition
zone obtained from the results of the diffusion test were statistically
analyzed using the one way ANOVA method.
The results showed that the extract and fraction of starfruit fruit
had antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923.
The ethyl acetate fraction of starfruit fruit with a concentration of 20%
had the most active antibacterial activity with an average diameter of
the inhibition zone of 26,32 mm. Minimum Kill Concentration (KBM)
etil fraction asetate against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 by
12,5%.
