Abstract
Buah dan biji salak pondoh (Salacca zalacca (Gaertn.))
mengandung senyawa flavonoid yang termasuk dalam senyawa
polifenol serta vitamin C yang merupakan sumber antioksidan,
kandungan senyawa tersebut dapat dipakai untuk menangkal radikal
bebas yang disebabkan oleh sinar matahari. Penelitian bertujuan untuk
memformulasi dan mengevaluasi sediaan krim body scrub dari buah
dan biji salak pondoh serta mengetahui konsentrasi terbaik pada krim
body scrub dari buah dan biji salak pondoh.
Buah salak pondoh dan biji salak pondoh diformulasikannya
menjadi sediaan krim body scrub dengan kandungan sari 4,5% dan
variasi konsentrasi emulgator asam stearat 10%, 12%, 14%, 16%, dan
10%. Pengujian pada sediaan yaitu uji stabilitas menggunakan cycling
test dan uji mutu fisik Hari ke 1 dan hari ke 21 diantaranya yaitu
organoleptik, homogenitas, daya lekat, daya sebar, pH, viskositas, tipe
emulsi.
Hasil sediaan yang dievaluasi dilakukan analisis data dengan uji
Shapiro wilk dilanjut dengan Oneway Anova, Post Hoc Tukey hsd, dan
paired T- test. Sediaan F1(10%), F2(12%), F3 (14%), F4(16%),
F5(10%), sudah memenuhi persyaratan untuk uji organoleptik,
homogenitas, pH, daya sebar, tipe emulsi, stabilitas sediaan. Sediaan
hari ke 1 dan hari ke 21 memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan sedangkan
pada uji stabilitas sediaan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan.
Sediaan krim body scrub dari buah dan biji salak pondoh dengan
variasi konsentrasi asam stearat 10% adalah konsentrasi terbaik pada
uji mutu fisiknya.
Salak pondoh (Salacca zalacca (Gaertn.)) fruits and seeds
contain flavonoid compounds included in polyphenolic compounds and
vitamin C which is a source of antioxidants, the content of these
compounds can be used to counteract free radicals caused by sunlight.
The study aims to formulate and evaluate the preparation of body scrub
cream from salak pondoh fruit and seeds and determine the best
concentration of body scrub cream from salak pondoh fruit and seeds.
Salak pondoh fruit and salak pondoh seeds were formulated into
a body scrub cream preparation with a juice content of 4.5% and
variations in stearic acid emulgator concentrations of 10%, 12%, 14%,
16%, and 10%. Tests on the preparation are stability tests using cycling
tests and physical quality tests on Day 1 and Day 21 including
organoleptic, homogeneity, adhesion, spreadability, pH, viscosity,
emulsion type.
The results of the preparations evaluated were analyzed by
Shapiro wilk test followed by Oneway Anova, Post Hoc Tukey hsd,
and paired T- test. Preparations F1 (10%), F2 (12%), F3 (14%), F4
(16%), F5 (10%), have met the requirements for organoleptic tests,
homogeneity, pH, spreadability, emulsion type, and stability. Day 1 and
day 21 preparations have significant differences while in the
preparation stability test there are no significant differences. Body
scrub cream preparation from salak pondoh fruit and seeds with 10%
stearic acid concentration variation is the best concentration in the
physical quality test.
