Abstract

Namu-namu adalah salah satu tanaman yang dapat digunakan sebagai antihiperglikemik alami, karena kandungan senyawa yang dimiliki diantaranya flavonoid, alkaloid, saponin, tanin, dan steroid. Beberapa mekanisme antidiabetes sudah diteliti. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aktivitas antihiperglikemik dan dosis efektif ekstrak etanol daun namu-namu terhadap kadar glikemik mencit diabetes diinduksi aloksan. Ekstraksi daun namu-namu menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 70 %. Uji antihiperglikemik ini menggunakan kelompok I kontrol diabetes, kelompok II kontrol obat glibenklamid 0,65 mg/kg BB, dan kelompok III ekstrak etanol daun namu-namu 200 mg/kg BB, kelompok IV ekstrak etanol daun namu-namu 400 mg/kg BB, kelompok V ekstrak etanol daun namu-namu 600 mg/kg BB . Mencit diinduksi aloksan secara i.p dengan dosis 150 mg/kgBB. Data hasil kadar gula darah yang didapatkan dianalisis dengan One Way Anova dilanjutkan dengan uji Post hoc. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak etanol daun namu-namu memiliki aktivitas antihiperglikemik terhadap mencit jantan putih (Mus musculus) yang diinduksi aloksan. Dosis yang efektif dari ekstrak daun namu-namu (Cynometra cauliflora L.) yaitu di dosis terkecil yang memiliki aktivitas dalam menurunkan kadar gula darah pada mencit yang diinduksi aloksan yaitu di dosis 200 mg/kgBB. Namu-namu is one of the plants that can be used as a natural antihyperglycemic, because it contains compounds including flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, tannins, and steroids. Several antidiabetic mechanisms have been studied. The purpose of this study was to determine the antihyperglycemic activity and the effective dose of ethanol extract of namu-namu leaves against alloxan-induced diabetic mice. Extraction of namu-namu leaves using maceration method with 70% ethanol solvent. This antihyperglycemic test used group I to control diabetes, group II to control glibenclamide 0.65 mg/kg BW, and group III ethanol extract of namu-namu leaves 200 mg/kg BW, group IV ethanol extract of namu-namu leaves 400 mg/kg BW, group V ethanol extract of namu-namu leaves 600 mg/kg BW. Mice were induced by alloxan i.p with a dose of 150 mg/kg BW. Data on blood sugar levels obtained were analyzed by One Way Anova followed by a Post hoc test. The results of this study indicate that administration of ethanol extract of namu-namu leaves has antihyperglycemic activity against alloxan-induced white male mice (Mus musculus). The effective dose of namu-namu leaf extract (Cynometra cauliflora L.) is at the smallest dose which has activity in lowering blood sugar levels in alloxan-induced mice, namely at a dose of 200 mg/kgBB.
