Abstract

Eyeshadow cream merupakan sediaan pewarna mata bentuk krim yang cenderung mengandung minyak. Kayu secang (Caesalpinia sappan L.) sebagai pewarna alami karena pada kayu secang mengandung senyawa brazilin yang dapat memberikan warna merah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui formula mana yang menghasilkan mutu fisik dan stabilitas yang baik, tingkat keamanan, dan tingkat kesukaan pada sediaan eyeshadow cream. Ekstrak dibuat sediaan eyeshadow cream dalam tiga formula dengan melakukan variasi ekstrak yaitu 3%, 5%, dan 7% ditambah satu formulasi sebagai formula kontrol. Sediaan eyeshadow cream dilakukan pengujian mutu fisik baik (organoleptis, homogenitas, pH, viskositas, daya sebar, daya lekat), uji stabilitas, uji iritasi dengan metode open patch, serta uji hedonik dengan pengisian kuisioner. Analisis data pH, viskositas, daya sebar, dan daya lekat dianalisa secara statistik dengan menggunakan One-Way anova metode Tukey HSD, data stabilitas dianalisa secara statistik dengan metode Paired sample t-test dan data uji kesukaan dengan analisis Tukey HSD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sediaan eyeshadow cream terhadap pengujian mutu fisik sediaan eyeshadow cream menunjukkan bahwa semua formulasi mempunyai organoleptis, homogenitas, viskositas, pH, daya sebar, dan daya lekat yang baik. Berdasarkan uji stabilitas menggunakan metode cycling test dari segi pH stabil dalam penyimpanan, tetapi dari segi warna dan viskositas kurang stabil. Berdasarkan uji iritasi sediaan eyeshadow cream tidak mengiritasi kulit. Berdasarkan uji kesukaan (hedonik) dari segi warna, aroma, dan kenyamanan adalah formula 3 yang paling disukai oleh responden, sedangkan formula yang paling banyak disukai oleh responden dari segi tekstur adalah formula 2. Eyeshadow cream is a cream form eye dye preparation that tends to contain oil. Secang wood (Caesalpinia sappan L.) as a natural dye because secang wood contains brazilin compounds that can give a red color. This study was conducted to find out which formula produces good physical quality and stability, level of safety, and level of preference for eyeshadow cream preparations. The extract is made eyeshadow cream preparation in three formulas by doing extract variations of 3%, 5%, and 7% plus one formulation as a control formula. Eyeshadow cream preparations are carried out physical quality testing (organoleptis, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, dispersion, adhesion), stability tests, irritation tests with the open patch method, and hedonic tests by filling out questionnaires. Data analysis of pH, viscosity, dispersion, and adhesion was analyzed statistically using One-Way anova Tukey HSD method, stability data was analyzed statistically using Paired sample t-test method and favorability test data with Tukey HSD analysis. The results showed that eyeshadow cream preparations against physical quality testing of eyeshadow cream preparations showed that all formulations had good organoleptis, homogeneity, viscosity, pH, dispersion, and adhesion. Based on the stability test using the cycling test method in terms of pH stable in storage, but in terms of color and viscosity less stable. Based on the irritation test, eyeshadow cream preparations do not irritate the skin. Based on the hedonic test in terms of color, aroma, and comfort is formula 3 most preferred by respondents, while the formula most preferred by respondents in terms of texture is formula 2.
