Abstract
Analgesik NSAID adalah senyawa yang mampu menurunkan
rasa nyeri dengan cara memblokir enzim siklooksigenase. Kulit pisang
efektivitasnya. Hasil pengamatan selanjutnya diuji oneway Anova
dengan program Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS).
kelompok kontrol positif.
NSAID analgesics are compounds that can reduce pain by
blocking the cyclooxygenase enzyme. Banana peel contains flavonoids
and antioxidants, thereby exhibiting analgesic activity and reducing acid
secretion in the gastric mucosa. This study was conducted to evaluate the
analgesic activity and gastric protective activity of banana peel extract.
Banana peel was extracted using the maceration method with
70% ethanol as the solvent. The extract's analgesic efficacy was tested
on 25 male mice divided into five treatment groups. Group I served as
the negative control using Na CMC, Group II as the positive control with
paracetamol, while Groups III, IV, and V were treated with banana peel
extract at doses of 75 mg/kg body weight, 150 mg/kg body weight, and
300 mg/kg body weight. Observations were made on the mice's writhing
responses, and the percentage of effectiveness was calculated. The
results of the observations were then tested using one-way ANOVA with
the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) program.
The results of the study indicate that banana peel extract (Musa
acuminata) has analgesic activity. A dose of 300 mg/kg body weight is
the most effective dose as an analgesic for male mice, with analgesic
efficacy of 90%, approaching the results of the positive control group.
