Abstract
sifat fisiknya meliputi uji organoleptik, homogenitas, pH, viskositas,
daya lekat, daya sebar, tipe emulsi serta uji stabilitas. Aktivitas
penyembuhan luka bakar diuji pada kelinci New Zeland dengan melihat
persentase penyembuhan luka.
>0,05.
Pangi plant leaves are useful as an alternative treatment for burns
because they contain tannin, flavonoid, and saponin compounds that
have the property of accelerating the wound healing process. Emulgel
base is an appropriate topical preparation for treating burns. This study
was conducted to determine and prove that pangi leaf extract can be
formulated into an emulgel preparation with good physical quality
requirements and to determine the activity and concentration of HPMC
in healing burns.
Pangi leaf extract was prepared by maceration method using 96%
solvent. Basil leaf extract was formulated into emulgel preparations with
varying concentrations of HPMC, namely 1.5%, 2% and 2.5%. Emulgel
preparations were made with the appropriate formula and tested for
physical properties including organoleptic test, homogeneity, pH,
viscosity, adhesion, spreadability, emulsion type and stability test. Burn
wound healing activity was tested on New Zeland rabbits by looking at
the percentage of wound healing. The observations of burn wound
healing, physical quality and emulgel stability were analyzed using
ANOVA method.
The results showed that the ethanol extract of pangi leaves can be
made into an emulgel preparation that has good physical quality. Pangi
leaf ethanol extract emulgel has a burn healing effect. Formula 3 is a
formula that has the most effective physical quality, stability and burn
healing because it has a concentration of 2.5% HPMC because it does
not have a significant difference with the positive control with a sig
value> 0.05.
