Abstract
vera 6%. Pengujian sifat fisik dalam sediaan krim meliputi uji
organoleptis, homogenitas, pH, daya sebar, daya lekat, viskositas, tipe
konsentrasi GMS40, maka semakin meningkatkan nilai pH, daya lekat,
Aloe vera extract is used as a topical preparation because it is
effective in moisturizing and soothing the skin. Aloe vera extract is
formulated into a cream preparation, because it has good absorption for
the skin, so that the active substance can be distributed evenly and
effectively on the skin. This study aims to determine the variation of
GMS40 concentration that can affect the physical properties and stability
of the cream preparation, as well as to determine the good concentration
of GMS40 in the cream preparation.
His study used 3 formulas with GMS40 concentrations of 8%,
10% and 12%. The cream preparation was made with 6% Aloe vera
extract. Testing of physical properties in cream preparations included
organoleptic tests, homogeneity, pH, spreadability, adhesion, viscosity,
cream type, protection power and stability. The results of observations
were analyzed using statistics with normality tests, ANOVA, Post hoc,
and paired t-test analysis.
The results of the physical quality test of Aloe vera extract cream
preparations with varying concentrations of GMS40 show that the
physical properties and stability of Aloe vera extract cream preparations
can be affected by increasing the concentration of GMS40, increasing
the pH value, stickiness and viscosity, and decreasing the spreadability
value. Variations in GMS40 concentration in Aloe vera extract cream
preparations which have good physical properties and stability are shown
in formula 2 with a GMS40 concentration of 10%. These results show
that at this concentration good and stable physical properties are
obtained.
