Abstract

Strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa) merupakan buah yang memiliki kandungan senyawa fitokimia yang bermanfaat bagi kesehatan, salah satunya sebagai antioksidan dan detoksifikasi karsinogen. Lip balm sediaan kosmetik bibir yang memiliki kegunaan sebagai pelembab bibir dan dapat melindungi bibir. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memformulasikan sediaan lip balm yang mengandung ekstrak strawberry 2% dengan variasi konsentrasi basis cera flava dan cera carnauba menggunakan simplex lattice design (SLD). Ekstrak tanaman diperoleh dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%, selanjutnya diidentifikasi kandungan senyawa dengan metode tabung. Formula lip balm ekstrak etanol buah strawberry dalam studi ini digunakan variasi konsentrasi cera flava dan cera carnauba dengan metode simplex lattice design menggunakan software design expert versi 13 pada program mixture design. Formula optimum dilakukan pengujian organoleptik, homogenitas, daya sebar, daya lekat, dan daya sebar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan cera flava berpengaruh menaikkan daya sebar, sedangkan cera carnauba berpengaruh terhadap daya lekat dan titik leleh. Komposisi formula optimum hasil optimasi dengan proporsi cera flava 13,714% dan cera carnauba 11.286% akan peroleh titik leleh 53,853, daya sebar 3,346, daya lekat 299,430. Strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa) is a fruit that contains phytochemical compounds that are beneficial to health, one of which is an antioxidant and carcinogen detoxification. Lip balm is a lip cosmetic preparation that has a use as a lip moisturizer and can protect the lips. The purpose of this study was to formulate a lip balm preparation containing 2% strawberry extract with varying concentrations of cera flava and cera carnauba bases using simplex lattice design (SLD). The plant extract was obtained by maceration method using 96% ethanol solvent, then identified the compound content by tube method. The lip balm formula of ethanol extract of strawberry fruit in this study used the concentration of cera flava and cera carnauba with the simplex lattice design method using design expert software version 13 in the mixture design program. The optimum formula was tested for organoleptic, homogeneity, spreadability, adhesion, and spreadability. The results showed that cera flava had a mean effect on spreadability, while cera carnauba had an effect on adhesion and melting point. The optimum formula composition of the optimization results with the proportion of cera flava 13.714% and cera carnauba 11.286% will obtain a melting point of 53.853, spreadability 3.346, adhesion 299.430.
